Danny We were asked to create a large but simple looking desk with a natural edge, and we sourced a slab of spalted beech from just down the road from us to do this. The slab had one crack through it which we filled with a black resin to highlight the spalted effect of the wood. The wood has a natural curve to it which created the perfect shape for a desk. This was finished with box legs.
